Settling into Grandma's House

And thus begins the final year of this journey we call college. It has brought a lot of dreams come true: living with two of my best friends (as well as three other lovely ladies), resuming the nightly dinners together, and the introduction of a new member to our family, Zoe. Rachel and I have talked about how much we want a cat every year! We often considered smuggling a cat into our dorm rooms; no one would notice, right? This year the pieces finally fell into place and we were able to get a cat!

Zoe belonged to a girl I went to middle and high school with, but when her family moved to Africa, Zoe needed a new home. We were so excited about adopting her into our family! She is twelve years old, and very petite. She loves to explore the house, and is often testing out new napping locations. Zoe is the friendliest feline I have ever met! We love her so much!

On the road to Walla Walla - Zoe looks kind of terrified, but she was an excellent driving companion, and didn't complain much at all!

"Hmmm...this is a comfy resting spot."
We quickly discovered that Zoe loves dairy products, can smell them from a mile away, and would be happy to finish your yoghurt, if you're having any trouble in that department. As she is very social, especially during breakfast and dinner times, she often joins us at the table.

Last night Rachel and I were eating pie (homemade blackberry peach dutch pie) and ice cream while watching Gilmore Girls, and Zoe was very interested in the ice cream remains in Rachel's bowl!

Everyone that comes to our house wants to meet Zoe, and many people that haven't been by yet know about her. She is definitely the most popular resident of Grandma's House!
